F-150 Sweepstakes
Win a New Truck Every Five Years!
October 21, 2003
DEARBORN, Mich. ? Are you looking for another good reason to watch college football?
This fall, Ford Motor Company will entice truck customers and college football fans alike with "The Ford F-150 For Life Bowl Championship Series Sweepstakes." One lucky grand-prize winner will receive a series of new Ford F-150 pickups every five years, as well as a lifetime supply of gasoline from BP.
The sweepstakes is another element of excitement drummed up by the launch of the all-new 2004 F-150.
"There's only one No. 1, and Ford's F-150 is it ? the undisputed king of cars and trucks," write the editors of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Or as Bob Knoll notes in The New York Times, "Unless you have been living in a cave for 26 years, you've probably heard that the Ford F-Series is the world's most popular line of pickups, having outsold all other trucks since 1978. And you may know the more wondrous fact that for two decades the F-Series has outsold every other vehicle, car or truck in the United States."
Ford's redefined 2004 full-size pickup is the only truck that earned the right to be the next F-150. With more than 20 best-in-class capabilities and class-exclusive features, the '04 F-150 is introducing a new level of "Built Ford Tough."
"The new F-150 inches the needle even farther. Interior acreage, comfort, cabin isolation, and driveability are all up," says Aaron Robinson of Car and Driver magazine.
"The new squared-off body of the F-150 looks strong, purposeful and even stylish ? a departure from the previous soft and rounded model," writes Jonathan Welsh of the Wall Street Journal. "More than any other pickup we have seen, its cab and high-sided bed seem to flow together so it doesn't look like two parts haphazardly joined in the middle. Its big grille and swept-back headlights give the front end a hint of a snarl."
Three first-prize winners of the "The Ford F-150 For Life Bowl Championship Series Sweepstakes" each will receive a four-day/three-night trip for two to the 2004 Nokia Sugar Bowl, College Football's National Championship Game, and a chance to win the grand prize ? a new Ford F-150 every five years. In addition, BP will provide the winner with an annual gas card credited with $1,200.
"At the Nokia Sugar Bowl, one college football team will win the national championship, an achievement that will last a lifetime," says Doug Scott, Ford Division truck group marketing manager. "It is only appropriate that we give fans an opportunity to win the truck world's equivalent of that prize ? the F-150 for life."
